5km Course
The 5km event course is an inviting single‑lap course designed for runners and walkers of all abilities, combining a fast, flat creek‑side stretch with a picturesque wetlands loop to finish. Starting at the main event hub area outside Dandenong Stadium, participants head out along the shared path and head towards the tunnel beneath the M1, emerging onto the peaceful Dandenong Creek Trail. From here, runners follow the trail along, crossing Brady Road and continuing only a short distance further before reaching the designated turnaround point a few hundred metres beyond the crossing.
After turning around, runners retrace their steps south along the Dandenong Creek Trail, enjoying a smooth, flowing return back toward the M1 underpass. Once they pass back through the tunnel, the course diverts into the Melbourne Water Recreation Area, where participants complete a scenic loop around the wetlands to finish their remaining kilometres. This beautiful closing section offers open views, wide paths, and a relaxed final run toward the event hub.
With its gentle terrain, some gravel paths and mix of creek‑side trail and wetland scenery, this 5km course is ideal for first‑timers, families, and seasoned runners chasing a quick, enjoyable run.
10km Course
The 10km event course is a beautifully balanced single‑lap course that blends fast, flowing trail sections with scenic parkland running through some of the southeast’s most iconic natural spaces. Starting and finishing at the main event hub area near Dandenong Stadium, runners begin by heading along the shared path before entering the tunnel beneath the M1, emerging onto the Dandenong Creek Trail. The course follows this picturesque creek‑side path, crossing at Brady Road and continuing past the open green spaces of Tirhatuan Park.
With gentle curves and smooth terrain, runners will enjoy a steady rhythm as they make their way to the official turnaround point at Police Road.
After looping around at Police Road, the course follows the same trail back, giving runners a fast, familiar return along the creek. Once they pass back through the M1 tunnel toward the event hub, the route diverts for its final kilometres into the Melbourne Water Recreation Area, where participants complete a scenic loop around the wetlands.
This final section offers wide‑open views and flowing paths that guide runners gently back toward the event hub, where they cross the finish line to complete their 10km journey.

21.1km Course
The 21km Half Marathon event course follows a two‑lap course starting and finishing at the main event hub near Dandenong Stadium. Runners begin by heading through the M1 tunnel and following the Dandenong Creek Trail, crossing Brady Road and passing Tirhatuan Park. They continue a few hundred metres past Police Road to a designated turnaround point before returning along the same trail.
As runner return back through the M1 tunnel, the route diverts towards the Melbourne Water Recreation Area however Lap 1 turns off at an early designated turn point to complete the first lap.
The second lap repeats the same out‑and‑back section, including the extended turnaround beyond Police Road. After passing through the tunnel for the second time, runners follow the wetlands loop around the Melbourne Water Recreation Area to finish their 21km journey at the Event Hub.
This route offers gentle terrain including some gravel, scenic creek‑side running, and a rewarding wetlands finish.
